How to Get Music on Your Phone via Streaming Services

Plugging your phone to your computer via USB cable every time you want to get some music on it can be a little too much. Fortunately, there is a very good alternative in using streaming music services.

If you want to use these services on your phone, you first need to have an Internet connection. Fortunately, all phones today have one.

Getting Music via Streaming Service or Radio Service

First, you need to open “All Apps” drawer and find the “Play Store” app in it. Select its icon and look for a music streaming service. For instance, “Spotify” or “Pandora”. There are, of course, other streaming music services, some of them require you to pay a certain amount to download them as apps on your phone, but some are free (such as SoundCloud for instance). The method is pretty much the same for all of them. Just follow any prompts to install the app and okay when it asks you for permissions.

Now that you have the app installed on your phone, open it and search for “Create New Station” or a similarly named text box. Enter the name of the artist or genre you want to listen to and it will create a stream based on similar music.

With millions of songs, Pandora, Spotify and other streaming services offer unlimited amounts of albums and artist to listen to with only a press or two on your phone screen.
